As the public relations and communications consultant tasked with supporting MLA Rachel Notley's signature annual event, Art From the Unknown in 2021 and 2022, I designed all of the event's visual materials using Canva.
One piece of this was notifying the artists who applied to be in the gallery each year with a branded, limited edition letter that reflected the campaign's visual identity for that year. The letters notified those Alberta artists who were selected to be in the 2021 and 2022 galleries, respectively. The 2021 gallery was entirely online and featured 300 artists from across the province. The 2022 gallery, featuring 100 Alberta artists, was a combination of an online gallery and in-person gallery hosted at the Strathcona Performing Arts Centre from November 4 - 6.
2022 Artist Letter (8.5x11")
I drafted three different versions of this letter: one for the 80 Alberta artists who were accepted to the in-person and online galleries from Nov 4- 6, 2023; another for those whose applications were not successful; and finally, a letter for 20 of the 100 Alberta artists who were selected to be in the online gallery only.
The Top 10 artists selected to be featured on Rachel Notley's social media throughout the event were notified with a special piece of correspondence from the Edmonton-Strathcona constituency office.

2021 Artist Letter (8.5x11")
I drafted two versions of this letter, one for all of the artists who were accepted to the online gallery, and another that specified the 14 artists who were selected to be featured on Rachel Notley's social media throughout the event over the span of two weeks.
